First kid wtf is CNS and GPP? LOL actually I went back and looked at my training when I went from 661 to 705 and I did lots of chain work and Floor press. Floor press is a big weakness of mine (as its a full range movement) so I focused a lot on it in that cycle. The last cycle I didn't do enough floor and chains work. SOOO I'm doing it now. Also bands kill my torn up arm. I will be doing a 3 wk wave of them next week.

I guess I was just wondering if you feel really exhausted and feel that sometimes the amount of volume you do on DE affects your ME but you have just confirmed what I always knew- you are on a different level than I am but you are on a level that I want to be. I suck at floor press but I find that my raw bench and shirted bench are hardly linked so I hardly do it.
It comes back to a comment you made a while back- you are a very strong lifter raw, single ply, and multi, I am simply a multi lifter. It's great work, Scott!

Jordan I do remember you being gay but this is fucking re-dick-a-less.
Nearly everyonr with a huge bench is hitting 550-600
pounds raw. Stop looking for an easy way and work
on getting strong. When you were at ST I recall your raw bench moving by 80-100 pounds.

Hey kid, I am not the best bencher in the world but have overcome a very big injury to get to a respectable bench. I wouldn't mind at all benching 800 in a shirt and only 365 raw. I wouldn't bother me a bit. I do raw work cuz I think one needs to get stronger out of the shirt to get stronger in the shirt. I think people can get big carryover early on in a shirt but a lack of strength catches up to them at some point. I am not saying your weak out of a shirt what I am saying is I need raw work. I need raw work on my weaker points of my bp.

You asked about if my DE bp days are killing my ME days or wearing me out. On DE days I am keeping bar wt at less then 40% of my raw BP plus chains. So I think last week on the heaviest set I did 225 plus 120lbs of chains for 3reps. I can bench 405 for 12 raw so this aint so heavy. The floor press I do afterwards are sets of 5 with lower wt also. Then the Kettlebell Floor press was sets of 25 reps. Again all was with easy weights. I am trying to move wt fast just like on DE squat days.

On ME BP days I go 3 week bench cycles week 1 is 2bd, week 2 is 1bd and week 3 is raw work or touch (if near a meet). I do 3 cycles before a meet. first cycle is doubles or triples, second cycle is doubles and singles, then the last is singles.

Like this
wk1 2bd doubles or triples
wk2 1bd singles of doubles
wk3 raw whatever for singles
wk4 2bd doubles or singles
wk5 1bd doubles or singles
wk6 raw whatever for singles
wk7 2bd singles
wk8 1bd singles
wk9 Touch singles

I may mix an additional raw session if I"m hurting.

Thanks for the breakdown, Scott. I am going to try to mimic some of this for a while and see how it goes. I like the volume.

Mark, I live and breathe this sport. Never will I avoid strength! And I couldn't quite make out what you were trying to say about snobs but hopefully you weren't trying to imply that I am one. I respect all strength and I know I have come a ways but have a way to go!

Max Effort bench

bench
135x5
225x5
315x5
405x1
add shirt
495x2 reps 1 with 3bd and 2nd with 2bd
545x2 2bd
585x2 2bd
635x1 1bd
675x1 1bd

Triceps 3sets
Biceps 3sets

bench 315x5 pain

My pec has been hurting and I needed to get home for something so didn't do enough. Lots of excuses, BUT i think I'm right on track. Goal is 725-730 in next meet. BTW was 318.6 this morning, thats about 12-14lbs less then when I was using this shirt before. Deads and squats are feeling good bench isn't as strong as it was, could be the wt loss. BUT still on track.
