last night i added another ply to my doubleply superdooper Phenom. I was originally told to get a smaller size and make it a triple ply. I decided that since the shirt is too big and double ply, why not add a ply. So i took an older Titan shirt and cut the material off the belly of the shirt. I took the material and looped it over the top of the collar to re-enforce the collar. That same piece of material I anchored to the arm pits as chest plate. I will now grid stitch the shirt. The chest plate I made 2" smaller with NXG material. May not work but its worth playing with.

Grid stitching ruins a SDP. You want the chest plate stretchy and the collar to be the tough part. I'm not sure what that shirt will be like.

I was trying to make the chest plate more rigid and less stretchy

Glenn, i'm going to York Barbell meet.

Sq/Bp training
sq
140x2
230x2
320x2
410x2
500x2x4

also some
Bench and Abs

Here is some training from today.

BUT first a some issues:

WTF is wrong with people.

-When Lance squatted 1003, as I was clapping for him some shit bag says to me "he's coming for you"? My response was Fuck you who are you? piss off! I was very happy for Lance, but had nothing to do with me.

-why is it some people will blame their gym when the bomb but when the succeed they don't thank their gym? I know the answer, because they are shit bags also.

Guess meet is a week away and i am pissed off.

I wonder what shit bags squats!

I never fail to thank my team and never blame them, if I missed a lift I jut try for it again if I miss it again I work on getting stronger not pointing the blame as the only one I can blame is myself for trying for weight I can't hit yet.

I can't even phantom the thought of a ST member blaming ST for a bad day or lift WTF that person should be proud to be on that team it's second to none IMO.

Leaving Thursday for IPA meet, opener plans are:

Sq 1100-1110
Bp 680-690
Dl 705-715

Hate to open so heavy in squat but guess 60 lbs less then my pr aint that bad. Touched 685 in the bench, but will open likely at 680, doubled 725 in the deadlift but will open 710ish,

Get the squat record. Do it. DO IT.

And get the total record while you're at it.

Good luck this weekend Hoss! My buddy and I will be driving up for the meet. I have been to a lot of the big IPA meets before and they are always well run. I am sure you have plenty of support with people from ST coming out to handle you, but if you get in a pinch and need two extra guys my buddy and I will be there. Just shoot me a message on here if you want extra help.

Good luck! Lift big!

My meet report,

Thanks Supertraining and Mark Bell. Thanks Mark's wife for allowing him to travel out East to help me.

One of the coolest venues I have ever been to for lifting. The York Barbell museum is amazing. IPA did a great job. When I was hurting Mark Chaillet (meet director) tried all the old school tricks to get me going. He gave me oxygen and had a lady work on my knee between attempts. To bad I injured the other knee. Gene Rychalk was F’ing great. Really good guy.

Made wt dropped roughly 20 lbs. By lifting time on Sunday I was 329. Felt just fine.

Warms ups:

155x2
265x2
465x1
add briefs
645x1
add suit bottoms
775x1
915x1 slow
1005x miss?, I was thinking I should wrap my knees with this one, but wanted to get it done. It was mistake, cuz my left knee started killing me. I thought meet was done at this point. Told Mark I’m out. Never thought I’d go out like this. Then decided to wrap my knees and do 975 in warm up room. It was slow and my knee was killing me.

Squat time:

Squat attempt 1:
1110 lbs. fell forward, I was lowering the wt really slow worried about my knee. This is no way to lift. Certainly you can not worry about your knees when your squatting 1100lbs. (fearlessness is the key, I should have been reading my own article.)

Squat attempt 2: Unrack fall forward, rerack and go. I went down fast and reversed motion fast. Bar moved fast but I twisted away from left knee more on my right then missed at top. This was the one I should have got.

Squat attempt 3: trying to unrack with more pressure on my right side to save left knee. Then POP on my right knee. I tore something and never got bar out of the rack. I think it’s the LCL. Its 8pm now and its killing me, will see doctor Tuesday Morning.

BOMB!

Hate when people have excuses for meets. I also hate when you read about how someone missed lifts but they don’t really say why or what the real story is. I missed cuz I was an idiot in the warm up room. I was dumb for thinking hurt I could squat anything I wanted. Now I think I will pay for it. Hmmmm long ride home Monday!

Hoss! You are a warrior and its hard for a warrior to put his ego in check when injuries may be lingering in. Mad props to you for saying fucking and trying to perform reguardless of what your body was saying. Looks like you will be a bench only guy while legs are healing up.

Scott,

I'm sorry to hear about your meet and hopeful your injury is not as serious as it sounds like you think it might be.

Hey Hoss that shit happens to everyone that goes balls out at some point. Your do or die attitude is what allowed you to be such a great squatter. You will heal up and be better than ever!

Nice try even on a bad day. Hope the injury isn't that bad and heals fast. I think you can be a 1200lbs. squatter sometime in the near future.
